Penile Massage or Heat Care? What Each Routine Involves
Compare light external massage with a comfortably warm towel, understand when to stop, and record either activity separately in BananaUp.
Key points
Seeing massage and heat care next to each other in the library can make them look like two compulsory stages of one session. In BananaUp, they are separate activities. Massage means light external touch around the area; heat care means lightly applying a comfortably warm towel. You can choose one without doing the other.
Neither is the manual lengthwise stretch, and neither is Edging (ejaculation control), which concerns when to pause stimulation. Choosing the name that describes what you actually did keeps those activities distinct in your history.

A warm towel should stay comfortable
Use a clean towel and check its temperature on your inner arm before applying it. Rest it lightly rather than wrapping it tightly around the area. If you barely notice warmth, increasing the heat repeatedly is not a useful target. Remove the towel when you finish and check whether any redness or irritation remains.
This is not something to leave on while sleeping. The app does not set a temperature or holding-time target that you need to endure. The heat-care guide shows the starting and finishing positions rather than prescribing a treatment course.
Massage means light touch, without pulling the skin
Clean your hands and use light strokes around the area. If you use a rolling motion between the hands, keep it very gentle and avoid dragging or catching the skin. When friction feels uncomfortable, end the activity instead of adding pressure to complete a session.
Firm squeezing, constricting the base, twisting or trapping blood are outside this routine. A movement is not interchangeable with jelqing simply because both involve a hand. The massage illustrations use an ordinary cylindrical model to make the direction visible. The model is an illustration aid, not equipment you need to buy.
Stop at pain rather than working through it
Stop immediately for pain, numbness, discoloration, swelling or bruising. An injured, swollen area is not a reason to add massage or heat. Seek medical advice for severe pain, painful urination or marked swelling or bruising (healthdirect, n.d.).
A different appearance immediately after touching or warming the area is not a measurement of lasting size change. For size comparisons, use consistent measurement conditions instead of repeated measurements just after care.
Record one activity when you did one activity
If you only used a towel, mark Heat Care complete. Massage should not also appear completed by default. If you stopped, use Skip and add a short note such as “warmth uncomfortable” or “friction uncomfortable.” Actual minutes are optional; completion does not depend on reaching a time target.
If you want to rest without local touch, pelvic-floor relaxation is a separate option. A clear activity name and a brief description of how it felt give you something specific to use when deciding whether to repeat that activity or take a rest day.
